 The
AU5 is fully featured for complete diagnostic versatility
in general imaging, vascular, intraoperative, OB/GYN, and
intracavity applications.
Operating from a digital platform, the AU5 supports high-resolution
linear, curved and phased array transducers which offer the
widest range of imaging frequencies in the ultrasound industry
from 2.5 to 20.0 MHz.
 The
AU5 is available with the Digital Storage Module (DSM),
the building-block for the digital lab. The DSM ensures super-sharp
image acquisition and archival while enabling DICOM 3.0 connectivity,
network compatibility and easy access to patient records for
improved workflow productivity. Complementing the DSM is Biosound
Esaote's ImageLab™ PC software, which turns a PC into an imaging
workstation and permits off-line exam interpretation at the
home or office.
 The
AU5 also offers a unique capability, Directional Power
Doppler, that color encodes the directional information in
power Doppler displays. The additional diagnostic data may
be especially useful in evaluating abdominal organ perfusion
and arterial low flow states.
